No Going Back 2 (Extended Version)
This is a past event
Local artists Karen Wimhurst and Ed Bersey have sculpted a brand new Audio Artwork focusing on the accelerating dangers of climate change in a world scarred by the pandemic.
This work will play in the grass bowl when Rodadoras is not being performed
In their compelling soundtrack with original music discover the passionate voices from a diverse range of people talking about their changing priorities in a world forever altered because of the pandemic.
“Together we face a climate and ecological emergency. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed our way of life overnight. Having quickly adopted such drastic measures to save lives, we now know what is possible, both from our government and ourselves. Now is the time to create a new future.” With this statement in mind, Composer, Karen Wimhurst and Ed Bersey (Sylvafield Studios) have created this audio collage of spoken voices from Shaftesbury, North Dorset, underscored with original music.
*This is a longer version of the Inside Out Dorset commission that premieres at Moors Valley.
Composer: Karen Wimhurst
Sound: Ed Bersey
