This year’s Street In The Park is set to be an epic afternoon of music and creativity!

Join us at Borough Gardens in Dorchester on Saturday 9 May for a FREE family-friendly celebration of street dance and music.

Expect an electrifying afternoon packed with live DJ sets, jaw-dropping street dance showcases and incredible live graffiti art. From fresh beats to bold moves and eye-catching visuals, Street In The Park brings urban culture to the heart of the community.

This event also hosts the Up and Coming DJ Competition offering opportunities to rising DJs to take to the decks and perform to a big crowd. Come and support the next wave of talent as they battle it out for the top spot. You’ll also see performances from local dance schools alongside professional musicians and dancers, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for all ages.

Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day to keep the energy high.

Street In The Park is a performance platform for music, technology and dance and was first launched in Dorchester’s Borough Gardens in May 2019. The event was conceived by students from Weymouth College Music Technology course (now Coastland College) who worked with Activate to help plan and publicise the event.

Access

Dorchester’s Borough Gardens are located within a few minutes walk of the town centre and are wheelchair accessible from all entrances which are located on the corner between Albert Road and Princes Street, Cornwall Road, Bowling Alley Walk and West Walks.

The gardens are a 3 minute walk from Dorchester West train station and an 8 minute walk from Dorchester South.

There are bus stops nearby at Dorchester Market, Williams Avenue, Brewery Square and Trinity Street.

We encourage all event attenders to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to this event.
