Opportunity for dancers aged 7-25 to join Dorset Youth Dance for our last term of 2021

Dorset Youth Dance (DYD) brings young dancers the chance to create, excel and perform in an Autumn- Winter ’21 term of contemporary dance classes, based in Martinstown, Dorchester.

After a joyful Spring & Summer creating and performing ‘Tess’, DYD classes resume on Sunday 10th October with Juniors & Seniors holding ‘open classes’. An open class allows a dancer who is new to DYD, to give class a go before committing to a full term. We’re excited to welcome both old faces and new! Throughout the pandemic our paramount concern has been the health and wellbeing of our team, artists, participants, audiences and local community. With this in mind, we created a ‘Digital Dance’ programme which continued to upskill our DYD dancers and enrich their sense of community whilst they remained safely at home during the lockdowns.

Following government guidance on activities for young people we were pleased to return to the studio at Martinstown in April 2021. We continue to provide a safe environment for our company members and staff team with extra safety measures and precautions in place.

The next DYD term will run from Sunday 25 April 2021 – Sunday 11 July 2021.
