We are delighted to have worked with our Remix and Dorset Youth Dance groups, together with the Libraries as Cultural Hubs project, to create an amazing atmospheric performance
ReadThe Remix is an inclusive youth performance company open to young people age 12-19, both disabled and non-disabled, from across Dorset. The Premix is a similar group set up for 7-11 year olds.
The Remix and Premix members include young people with physical and sensory impairments, young people with learning difficulties and non-disabled young people, all with a love of performance and the willingness to stretch themselves and have fun.
Since the company begain in 2007, The Remix has worked with internationally renowned companies including CandoCo Dance Company, Graeae Theatre Company, Choreographer, KMA, Cirque Bijou and StopGap Dance Company. They have performed in theatres and spaces all across the South West and in London.
The Remix and Premix usually meet once a month and for extended bespoke workshops during the schools holidays. The team includes qualified care staff who are on hand to assist at all residencies and workshops.
