What's On
Road a play by Jim Cartwright
This is a past event
Road explores the lives of people in a deprived, working-class area of Lancashire during the government of Margaret Thatcher: a time of high unemployment in the north of England.
We witness tears, fears, isolation, love and laughter, but this is no celebration. It is a warning: the stiff upper lip makes things far too easy for the people who lead us. These are themes which resonate today.
This theatre production is a collaboration between the BA (Hons) Acting, Costume, Performance Design and Film Costume, and Make-up for Media and Performance courses at Arts University Bournemouth.
