Drawing session (Dusk til Dark 2026)

Join us for a free and relaxed drawing session inspired by Wave, the spectacular sound and light installation on Westham Bridge.

This friendly session invites you to slow down and capture the installation in your own unique way. Experiment with lines, shapes, movement and light. No experience is necessary just a willingness to join in.

Come along, get creative and see the installation through fresh eyes.

What to expect:

• Playful sketching exercises
• Advice on creative drawing techniques for all abilities
• A chance to respond creatively to Squidsoup’s Wave installation
• A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere

What to bring:

• A seat if you like – the session takes place on Westham Bridge where there is no public seating. If you’d like to sit whilst you draw, you are welcome to bring a picnic blanket or camping chair
• Layers of clothing – please dress for the weather and wear layers as it may begin to get cooler in the evening. If it’s raining and it’s safe to proceed, the event will still go ahead
• Your imagination and creativity – drawing materials (pencils and paper) will be provided

This event is free and we encourage you to book in advance to secure your place. When you book you will be asked if you would like to make a donation to Activate Performing Arts.
