The Phat Controller: Stuart Henderson presents Fanfares for the trains.
Poole level crossing is an unusual fixture where the South Western main line crosses the pedestrianised High Street. (Reportedly, the only one of its kind!) A unique location and part of Inside Out Dorset festival’s site this year, we celebrate the ‘interruptions’ with fanfare and music.
Expert trumpeter Stuart Henderson will play each time a train passes – expect jazz interludes and train-themed pop songs.
Stuart was principal trumpet of The Scots Guard in Her Majesty’s Household Division from 1983-2005. Since leaving the services Stuart has become a fixture on the UK jazz scene appearing with many of the country’s finest musicians.
