Join Dorset Youth Dance for a free taster workshop in Swanage.
Dorset Youth Dance (managed by Activate) is a county-wide youth dance company dedicated to providing high-quality dance experiences for young people passionate about movement and performance.
This February half term we are offering free workshops filled with dance, creativity and fun.
Two workshops will run on Wednesday 18 February at The Mowlem Theatre in Swanage:
11.15-12pm (ages 3-6) and 12.15-1.15pm (ages 7-11)
These free taster workshops give budding young movers the chance to explore the world of dance through inspiring creative exercises, imaginative storytelling and playful games. Workshops are suitable for all — the perfect way to experience the Dorset Youth Dance magic for yourself!
The workshops will be led by Emily Thompson-Smith, the current class and rehearsal director for Dorset Youth Dance. Whether you’re seeking a fun, confidence-building activity or looking to advance your skills for a future performance career, Dorset Youth Dance has something for everyone. Our well-rounded programme caters to those who simply want to dance for fun, as well as those ready to take that extra leap in their contemporary dance training.
Although the workshops are free to attend, please book your place in advance so we know you will be joining us. Click the Book button or email dyd@activateperformingarts.org.uk with any questions.
