Dorset Youth Dance (DYD) company members meet at Dorchester YMCA, Sawmills on Sundays during term time.
Current Classes
Each class has a friendly and inviting atmosphere whilst fostering a level of professionalism. We offer free trial classes for those wanting to experience DYD and see if it’s a good fit. Please email dyd@activateperformingarts.org.uk for further information and to book your free place.
DYD Juniors
Ages 7-11
10am – 11am, Sundays during term time
YMCA, Dorchester Sawmills Lane, Weymouth Avenue, DT1 2RZ
Term fees: £60
DYD Seniors & Company
Ages 12-18 years
11am – 12.30pm, Sundays during term time
YMCA, Dorchester
Term fees: £120
For this autumn term, our Seniors and Company classes will merge with additional rehearsal time after 12.30pm when working towards a performance opportunity.
Autumn Term Dates
Sunday 7th September 2025 – Sunday 7th December 2025 (excluding Sunday 21st + Sunday 28th September for performances + Sunday 26th October + Sunday 2nd November for Half Term).
Additional cost information
DYD offer a limited number of bursaries and/or payment in instalments available to make classes accessible. At the heart of what we do is a belief that the performing arts should be accessible for all – no matter what your experience or background
