Marketing And Communications Manager
Lucy Rouse has 30 years of experience of the communications industries. A journalist from 1992 until 2012, Lucy was the first female editor of Broadcast magazine, the leading publication for the TV and radio industries. As a freelance journalist, Lucy has written for national newspapers in the UK such as The Guardian, The Observer, The Sunday Times, The Financial Times, The Independent and The Evening Standard.
Lucy diversified into senior communications, marketing and PR roles in 2012, and was previously marketing and communications manager for Salisbury International Arts Festival and PR and communications officer for Wiltshire Creative (which brings together Salisbury Playhouse, Salisbury Arts Centre and Salisbury Festival). Lucy now runs Lucecannon PR, an independent PR and communications consultancy service.
Favourite Activate moment: Lucy remembers seeing the high wire act Les Colporteurs in Studland in 2014 – fabulously entertaining and all performed in high heels!
When she’s not working: Lucy enjoys running, walking, gardening, reading and socialising with friends (now that we’re allowed to!)
