Producer - Youth Dance And Diversity

Michaela/Ki has loved dance and theatre from an early age. On gaining a degree in Dance and English at Middlesex University and a PGCE, Ki became Head of Dance and Programme Coordinator for the Performing Arts team at Stanmore College, London. After 11 years, she decided it was time to move back to the coast and joined the team at Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth as Participation and Outreach Manager and freelance dance teacher. Ki currently works as part time Performing Arts Lecturer at Weymouth College and part time Producer specialising in Youth Dance and Diversity with Activate Performing Arts.

Ki’s favourite Activate moment: There are too many! But all include seeing the benefits the performing arts has in terms of every young person’s wellbeing, confidence, expression, voice, development, professionalism and self-belief.

When they’re not working: Ki enjoys coastal walks and good food, drink and company with friends and family.
