Irene Archibald

Arts Administrator

Irene has been Activate’s Administrator since 2011. She was previously Arts Administrator with Dorchester Arts, helping with the organisation of their biennial Dorchester Festival.

Irene is passionate about the outdoors, spending weekends walking and photographing local birds and wildlife as well as creating drawings and paintings of the Dorset coast and landscape that she loves so much.

Her favourite Activate moment was 2022’s Green Space Dark Skies event at Maiden Castle, Dorchester for its ability to connect across all strands of society, creating an unforgettable moment for those who took part and for those who read about it or saw it on TV.

Irene uses the pronouns she/her.
