We’re delighted to announce that Jenna Hubbard will be joining Activate as our new Producer (Outdoor Arts, Festivals, Touring) from March 2026.

Jenna brings a wealth of experience across performance, producing, and higher education. She has worked for over 20 years as a freelance performer and producer in the Midlands and South West, collaborating with organisations and artists including Spiltmilk Dance, Casson and Friends, Rosemary Lee, and Lily Hayward-Smith.

Alongside her producing practice, Jenna has had a significant career in higher education. She has worked as a Senior Lecturer at Arts University Bournemouth and as Programme Leader for Dance at De Montfort University, with experience as a freelance, part-time and full-time employee since 2008. Whether teaching or producing, Jenna’s work is rooted in the values of community, connection and integrity, with a strong focus on intergenerational play, co-creation and using the arts to connect people and open dialogue.

Jenna’s focus will be on producing our outdoor arts events and leading the delivery of our extraordinary biennial festival Inside Out Dorset. She will also procure and manage opportunities for touring shows produced by Activate, including Canopy and Geophonic (Lorna Rees Company), THE HiDE (Tilly Ingram Theatre), Serving Sounds and Noisy Noise Noise (Working Boys Club) and Sense of Unity (Worldbeaters and dundu).

Jenna says, “I’m thrilled to join Activate full-time from March 2026. Having worked with the team as Assistant Producer for Inside Out Dorset 2025, I’m delighted to return. I’m excited to collaborate with our touring artists and companies to present their work, and to produce a fantastic edition of Inside Out Dorset in 2027. Dorset’s vibrant outdoor arts scene makes it a unique opportunity to present world-class artists in this region.”
