We are delighted to have worked with our Remix and Dorset Youth Dance groups, together with the Libraries as Cultural Hubs project, to create an amazing atmospheric performance piece, filmed in Wimborne.

What’s the Goss? is based on Thomas Hardy’s time living in Wimborne when he wrote Two on a Tower. According to hearsay, by eavesdropping on local gossip, he gleaned ideas that he used in his work.

Watch the interview with Ki and Jude talking about the project and how all the students were involved.

The amazing talent of all these students shines throughout the theatre and dance performance, and you can watch the film here.

We’d love to hear from other community groups who would like to work with us. We are currently recruiting participants for Green Space Dark Skies, which invites people, from all paths in life, to make a journey into the landscape together. There, we will experience wild and beautiful places as dusk falls. Each mass gathering celebrates nature, our responsibility to protect it and everyone’s right to explore the countryside. For more information, email info@activateperformingarts.org.uk
