A panel discussion featuring the artists presenting their work at Moors Valley Country Park & Forest: Helen Ottaway, Kathy Hinde and Jane Pitt, alongside Esta Mion, Senior Communications and Marketing Manager at Forestry England, chaired by Kate Wood from Inside Out Dorset at Activate.
We will be taking the opportunity to hear how the artists have developed their careers as women working in the field of sound, the inspiration for their installations and the different artistic practices each artist has developed. We will discuss the barriers to women in the industry and whether there are parallels to the barriers to women accessing the landscape, hearing from the perspective of Forestry England. We will explore the importance of presenting artistic work in the outdoors and its ability to reach a broader range of people.
