About this Event: Join Dorset Youth Dance Artistic Director, Claire Benson to explore the themes covered in the World Book Day 2020 book; 'Dogman' by Dav Pilkey.
Dorset Youth Dance Company (DYD) is for young people who have a real passion and enthusiasm for dance, who want to take that extra leap in training. Focusing on contemporary dance technique, DYD dancers are led by freelance dance artist (renowned former Motionhouse dancer and youth dance leader), Claire Benson.
Join members of DYD Company 3 (our more technically experienced Company) for a creative, contemporary based dance workshop, to explore the themes of the World Book Day 2020 book; the latest 'Dogman' by Dav Pilkey. Get a taste of DYD's style and choreographic process in this free, hour long workshop, suitable for 13-18 year olds.
To book, call the Weymoth Library Team on 01305 762410.
Weymouth Library will also be running a Plasticine animation workshop with James Price, based on the same themes, from 10am-1pm. Use imagination to create animation and make your own dog hero! Free workshop for children aged 5+ (children under 8 must be accompanied). Separate booking required.
