July 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the first man on the moon, and Dorset is going moon-crazy. For the first time three established arts festivals - Inside Out Dorset, b-side and Bournemouth Arts by the Sea – have joined forces to present Luke Jerram’s internationally acclaimed Museum of the Moon.
This huge, internationally famous work will be the illuminated centrepiece of three fantastic summer events happening in Dorset in the Summer of 2019. All events are completely free and will have a selection of high-quality participation events that visitors can enjoy that are unique to each individual venue.
The stunning locations are:
Nothe Fort, Weymouth. A historical fort on the World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast.
Sherborne Abbey. A Saxon masterpiece in a quintessential rural Dorset town.
Bournemouth Pleasure Gardens. An award-winning Grade II listed public park in the centre of a vibrant and diverse University hub.
The spectacular venues add to what will be a stunning visual experiences for the whole family to enjoy.
A perfect reason to linger in beautiful part of England’s world-renowned South Coast.
