Devised Theatre Workshop

Award winning theatre company are running a two day devising workshop at The Marine Theatre in Lyme Regsis.

This workshop is perfect for students, teachers, performers and theatre makers. It will follow The Outbound Project’s approach to devised theatre. We will look at the techniques and exercises we use as a company when we create work. Looking at skills and methods of creating both solo and group work you will complete this workshop with enough tools to make a start at devising and creating your own work.

Company members have taught at East 15 Acting School, Arcola Theatre, Runshaw College, Bristol Old Vic: Made in Bristol Programme, New Wolsey Youth theatre, Oxford World Theatre, St Wilfrid's Academy and have an ever growing list of partner theatres and colleges.

We will be using the stimulus behind our new show 12 Million Volts, which is about the life and inventions of Nikola Tesla to explore how to create work from a specific theme or topic.

Focusing on storytelling, creating movement and working from a stimulus this workshop will give participants a range of tools for devising their own work be it solos or ensemble.
