A Life In Her Day

We are absolutely delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed clown Hilary Chaplain, all the way from New York, who is in the country to perform at Liverpool's Physical Fest - and The Lyric!

Unconventional and outrageously funny, A Life In Her Day is a solo comedy about the tragedy of growing up and the promise of happily ever after. A wonderful mix of physical comedy, object theatre, puppetry, and serious theatre, the show is an hour-long, one-woman-and-a-few-props show where our heroine makes do with a 'pretend' family of common household goods.

An original amalgam of Lucille Ball and Charlie Chaplin, Hilary Chaplain is a masterful physical comedienne who exposes her most intimate moments after discovering a diamond 'engagement' ring in her cereal box and pursing the life that ensues. She was the Winner of the Solo Show Award at the International Fringe Festival in New York City. Hilary has been recognised as one of America’s foremost professional physical comediennes, performing her original solo and ensemble work for over a decade throughout the United States, Canada, South America and Europe. Uncovering the humour in everyday life, her extraordinary work has won accolades worldwide.

Tickets are £12 and available from Bridport Arts Centre: 01308 424204 and online. Doors & bar open 7:30pm both nights. Don't miss Hilary's exclusive masterclass in clowning while she's here!
