A Dance A Day 2012

A Dance A Day 2012, part of the Maritime Mix, London 2012 Cultural Olympiad by the Sea

“Being part of the whole Olympic spectrum. The joy of performance at 73!! Fun, laughter and achievement”

The A Dance A Day project was partly created to ensure that older people in Dorset had an opportunity to get involved with the excitement of the London 2012 Games through the Cultural Olympiad programme. To ensure active and creative ageing it is important to keep challenging oneself physically and mentally. The 5 A Dance A Day groups who performed during the Olympic and Paralympic Games did just that. Although there were a lot of nerves their performances were beautiful, moving and fun. Hundreds of people stopped to watch over the two days.
