Temp General Manager - GDance

GDance is a production company which challenges perceptions of disability through:

  • Professional productions led by and featuring disabled artists
  • Legacy and research projects addressing access issues in the sector
  • Leading sector development initiatives and networks

Our research and production base is Gloucester but we work UK-wide, and our films are distributed internationally.


 Job Role

He/she will support the Artistic Director in the running of the organisation, productions and programmes.


Post:            12 month fixed term contract to 31 August 2017 (potential for extension to contract, subject to funding)

Weekly hours: 22.5 hours (fte 0.6)

Salary:          £23,000 - £25,000 pro rata (subject to experience)


The successful candidate must have significant general management and / or senior administrative experience in an office and/or production environment. 

He / she will be exceptionally organised, with strong interpersonal, communications, negotiation and IT skills. He / she will be highly numerate with budget / financial management and proven bidding / fundraising experience.  The post-holder will be confident in business / complex project planning and management.  He / she will be driven by a strong belief in, and commitment to, inclusivity in the arts.

The post-holder must be happy to work flexibly, as part of a team and independently, with occasional unsociable hours.
