The role will support a dedicated workshop area that is primarily used by our Modelmaking and Make-up courses, with processes ranging from plaster casting to 3D printing, and foam latex production to laser cutting.

An opportunity exists to work with a dedicated team supporting students and staff within the field of Modelmaking and Make-up.

The role will support a dedicated workshop area that is primarily used by our Modelmaking and Make-up courses, with processes ranging from plaster casting to 3D printing, and foam latex production to laser cutting.

The ability to maintain a safe working environment, supported by up-to-date knowledge of relevant health and safety good practice and methods is fundamental to the role, as is a strong ability to organise continuously serviceable work areas.

The post holder must be able to competently assist with the essential maintenance of equipment and resources, ensure the learning environment is adequately equipped, and support a diverse range of learners undertaking their live projects and resource use practices.

Candidates must be able to plan and organise a complex workload within a very busy and constantly changing environment and possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

A Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience is required and ideally candidates should possess a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject. Experience of working with young adults would also be advantageous.
