Litter Free Dorset Project Officer
22 hours per week / Dorchester
Fixed term initially for one year
Litter Free Dorset is a community campaign to reduce litter and waste across Dorset. The working group is made up of local organisations, charities and community group- all of which work together to reduce the social, economic and environmental impacts of litter. This is done by trying to stop littering behaviour in the first place through implementing campaigns, policy and co-producing projects to reduce litter and waste in Dorset. The Litter Free Project Support Officer will be working in a small enthusiastic team based in County Hall, Dorchester.
What you will be doing
The Litter Free Dorset Project Support Officer will be the administrative support for the Litter Free Dorset team. Supporting the Coordinator in the development and delivery of the individual campaigns and projects.
The post holder will need to be organised and have excellent administrative skills. This will include; organisation of meetings, minute taking, administration of the working group, development of databases, maintenance of electronic mailing lists and financial support.
As well as this the post holder will be required to plan and host events representing Litter Free Dorset. This will include; designing marketing material, loading and driving vans, lifting equipment and installing gazebos, lone working and engaging with a wide the general public.
