International youth circus trainer course
Edinburgh's Centre for Circus Arts has been selected to host the second part of CATE (Circus Adult Training Europe), a basic circus trainer course that is part of the PEYC project to give young people without employment, job opportunities in the field of youth circus.
The course supports people with previous experience in circus who need pedagogical, circus related training to increase their skills.
Applicants will be selected by CircusWorks, the UK Youth Circus Network, to go to Valladolid, Spain August 30th - September 6th 2015 and train at Full Cirqle,
Edinburgh 2nd - 9th March 2016.
100 euro fee, travel and accommodation covered.

When and where?
The first part of the course will be held in Valladolid, Spain between August 30th and September 6th 2015.
The second part will be held in Edinburgh, UK from 2nd to 9th of March 2016.
The dates include travelling dates.
1 . Gaining basic level of technical and artistic skills in the four circus disciplines (acrobatics, balancing, juggling, aerials)
2 . Ability to teach in a creative way and to stimulate creativity
3 . Ability to create and manage group dynamics and take care of the physical & emotional safety of the group and the individual
4 . Ability to teach circus at a basic level to a heterogeneous group
5 . Ability to self-evaluate and rationalise progression
Requirements for participants
From 18 to 30 years old
Intermediate or fluent in English (the course is taught in English)
Interested in teaching circus
Has a desire to bring both skills and enjoyment of learning to participants
Has basic skills in most circus disciplines
