Lighthouse, Poole is the largest regional Arts Centre in the UK, presenting a broad and diverse programme of live music, theatre, dance, comedy and spoken word in our three venues and film and visual art in our cinema and gallery. Lighthouse provides a cultural offer that gives a vibrancy, focus and profile to the town and region, and offers audiences living outside of a major city the opportunity to engage with high quality cultural experiences.
We are looking for an exceptional programmer to lead and develop our programme of received work and as such will have substantial experience and knowledge of the UK arts scene and of both subsidised and commercial work for mid and large-scale venues. You will have expertise in a number of artistic genres, gained in a venue of repute, with a proven ability to meet commercial objectives.
The role will build our reputation as an important regional venue that has a great national profile for presenting major artists and developing up and coming talent. This role is part of the senior management team and will be pivotal to the organisations continued success.
