Dorset Youth Dance Summer 2020 Film project

Dorset Youth Dance Summer 2020 Film project

In partnership with Dorchester based Movers & Shakers, a company of contemporary dancers aged 50+, Dorset Youth Dance Company (DYD) are offering dancers aged 14-30 to join the 2 groups in a short Summer Film Project in late August.

DYD Artistic Director Claire Benson will work with professional photographer and film maker Dan Tucker to create a short dance film, inspired by the Dorset landscape and Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the d’Urbervilles. Join a live online session, via Zoom, to learn the choreography and develop motifs through creative tasks, before coming together on location in West Dorset to film the intergenerational work.
