Poole Museum is seeking a great communicator with a passion for museums and fundraising, to implement the museum’s first fundraising strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to initiate and develop a programme of fundraising in support of Poole Museum.
Poole Museum Service is in the process of developing a fundraising strategy and proposition to support the museum across a range of fundraising initiatives. Alongside this, the museum is establishing a new Development Trust, a group of independent, voluntary trustees who will be focused on generating fundraising support for the museum.
The post-holder will be responsible for implementing the new fundraising strategy for Poole Museum Service, through the use of a range of fundraising techniques for example on-site giving, trusts & foundations, membership, legacies, co-ordination of fundraising events and activities linked to the museum’s programming. As such, the post holder will be expected to support and embed a culture of fundraising across Poole Museums Service by working closely with staff, volunteers and trustees on fundraising initiatives.
The role will also work closely with the Museum & Arts Manager for the establishment of the new Development Trust, by supporting trustee recruitment and relationship management, and by providing practical fundraising support and administration for the group.
