PAVILION DANCE SOUTH WEST – DISCOVERY ARTISTS

Closes, 17th December 2015

Pavilion Dance South West is offering four dance artists or companies; three based in the UK and one international, the opportunity to become Discovery Artists with them.

They are keen to encourage applications from deaf and disabled artists. This call out is available as an audio recording. PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE AUDIO FILE HERE >>> PAVILION DANCE SOUTH WEST DISCOVERY ARTISTS

Being a Discovery Artist with PDSW allows the relationship between PDSW and the selected companies to grow and be nurtured. PDSW will be curious about you and your work, and this programme will allow them to indulge in creative conversations.

You may wish to explore new ideas, or to reconsider your practice. You may wish to polish your work for touring. Whatever your ambition, this is a testing ground. And PDSW will be There to support you.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You and/or the entire company will be invited to spend up to two weeks at Pavilion Dance with free studio space and a contribution to your travel and accommodation costs.

PDSW will have a number of conversations with you during your residency which will establish and share joint aspirations. They will see some of your ideas in the studio and chat about them.

They can also offer you a 'work in progress sharing' during your development process, if you wish.

The residencies will also have an ‘open studio’ day, where invited guests will be able to watch you work.

PDSW will also offer you access to their network of visual artists, should you wish to invite them to observe and draw your rehearsals.
