Theatre Bristol is looking to appoint an Arts Assistant to benefit from on-the-job training in arts administration and producing theatre.
Theatre Bristol’s role is to work with the theatre community and others to create the best conditions for excellent live performance to be made and experienced in Bristol. We understand “theatre” in the broadest possible terms: from circus to dance to script-based plays, and everything in between.
We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic Arts Assistant to work with our General Manager and Producing Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to pursue a career in arts administration or as a Theatre Producer to gain crucial knowledge, skills, experience and contacts.
The successful candidate will work with the General Manager on company administration & finance management, event management, website management; and with the producing team on artist development and producing projects.

This paid internship has been created as part of the Creative Employment Programme.
The Creative Employment Programme is an Arts Council England fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for unemployed young people wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector.
There are certain criteria you must meet in order to be eligible to apply for a Creative Employment Programme funded internship. At the time of applying you must be aged 18 to 24 years old and you must be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus.
These eligibility criteria have been approved by the Department of Work and Pensions.
