TTA, THE BREWHOUSE THEATRE AND ARTS CENTRE, TAUNTON, SOMERSET

FULL-TIME ROLE

SALARY: £26000-28,000 P.A. PRO RATA

Excellent opportunity for an experienced, entrepreneurial and resourceful programmer to play a key role in the artistic development of the Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre.   Responsible for curating a high-quality, diverse and commercially successful performing arts programme, the post-holder also manages visual arts and cinema programming with support from specialist advisers.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Artistic Programmes Manager is a central role within the senior management team, working closely with colleagues and building partnerships with producers, promoters, arts and cultural organisations and local community groups to help deliver the Brewhouse’s artistic vision, cultivating and developing audiences in Somerset and beyond.

Beyond programming, responsibilities include staff management, finance as related to programmes, and involvement in communications and advocacy, marketing and audience development. With a central role in the strategic and artistic development of the Centre, the Artistic Programming Manager will be involved in 2020 in a review of the current business model and how best to continue to produce work and develop support for performance and visual artists.

Taunton Theatre Association currently programmes 200 performances and 120 screenings annually with attendances of c75,000 at The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre in our 352-seater auditorium, studio theatre, gallery, workshops, meeting rooms, café/bar and outside space.
