Coast Youth dance company for aspiring dancers aged 16-25 years
Audition : Sunday 6th March 2016, 10am-4pm

PDSW is calling for committed and aspiring dancers aged 16-25 years to become part of the Coast Youth Dance Company, a brand-new opportunity for 2016.

Company members will train with highly-skilled dance practitioners, and work intensively with renowned choreographers to create innovative and meaningful performance work. Company training will be grounded in contemporary technique, with influences from alternative dance genres.

Admittance is by audition only, but people of all dance backgrounds are welcome to take part!

Dorset Youth Dance share new short dance film 'Tess'.

Introducing Dorset Youth Dance’s short dance film, Tess. Created in partnership with Movers & Shakers, a company of mature dancers, the contemporary dance film with an intergenerational cast is inspired by Hardy’s literature and filmed in local landscapes. Choreographed and directed by DYD Artistic Director Claire Benson and filmed by local photographer and film artist Dan Tucker, Tess is performed Dorset Youth Dance Company and Movers and Shakers and was created and filmed in and just after the first lockdown of the Coronavirus pandemic.
