Remix - February half term workshops

Calling all performers!!

The Remix have two exciting opportunities coming up in February half term giving young people aged 11- 19 years the chance to perform live!

On 11th and 12th February at Poole Lighthouse Arts Centre, Remix East will be working with artists Anna Golding and Clair Beckett in creating a dance based on the theme of Darkness and Light.

The dance piece will be performed at Pavilion Dance South West in March as part of their Youth Dance Platform, Origins.

On the West side of Dorset, Remix West will be working with international artists as part of the Complete Freedom of Truth project at Bridport Arts Centre on the 14th, 15th and 16th February.

Disabled and non disabled young people from all over Europe will join together in a series of workshops to create material for a show on the evening of the 16th February. Workshops will include music making, theatre and dance


No experience is necessary for either opportunity, just a willingness to be creative, get involved and enjoy performing! Remix East and West are open to young people aged 11-19 years of all abilities and skill.

A full team of support workers will be available to support any young person requiring assistance. Sessions cost £7.50 payable by bacs in advance or cash on the day.

The Remix is an integrated youth performance company for young people aged 11- 19 years. Remix East usually meets at Pavilion Dance South West in Bournemouth and Remix West at Thomas Hardye School dance studio in Dorchester. It is open to both young people who are disabled and non disabled and provides exciting opportunities for young people to work with professional artists in dance, theatre, circus and film.
