Who are Extraordinary Bodies Young Artists?
Diverse City’s training company for young actors, dancers, musicians, circus artists, writers and producers. They make shows and offer practical training in all aspects of the performing arts.
Company members attend weekly Tuesday night sessions in Bournemouth for performance making. During weekends and school holidays we run master classes with guest artists and aerial circus training.
Previously the company has performed at London’s Southbank, Dorset’s Inside Out Festival, Poole’s Lighthouse Centre for the Arts, Bournemouth's Arts University and also with ‘The Complete Freedom of Truth’ in the UK and Bosnia.
Extraordinary Bodies Young Artists are made up of disabled and non-disabled artists based in and around Bournemouth. Qualified care and access support workers are present at all rehearsals, performances and at the auditions.
What is Diverse City?
Diverse City is a group of social and cultural entrepreneurs working for change in the performing arts one extraordinary performance at a time. Our award-winning company was formed in 2005 by CEO Claire Hodgson MBE and our performance and training work tours all over the country.
