I grew up in Dorset, where I trained with Wessex Youth Theatre, achieving two gold medals in LAMDA exams and travelling all over the country competing in festivals. In 2008 they won the youth section in the British finals of the One Act Play Festival with the three-hander Warrior Square by Nick Wood. In latter years I have also taught students at Wessex Youth Theatre. I have won numerous awards at festivals across the UK, including Best Youth Actress at the Totton Festival in 2005 and seven first place awards over three years at the Southampton Music and Drama Festival. I trained with the National Youth Theatre in 2008 and recently performed in their grand scale production Slick – a response to environmental issues using ensemble movement choreographed by Phoenix Dance. In 2009 I joined Dramatic Productions at the Lighthouse in their production of Teechers.
This Summer I completed a work familiarisation scheme with the BBC and will be returning to work with them over the coming months. I am also a keen artist, German speaker, clarinettist and singer as well as playing some piano. I am now in my final year at the University of Birmingham studying Drama and Theatre Arts, where I write for the University newspaper and am involved in drama societies.
