Ballad of Isolation

So Niche Productions invites isolated creatives - artists, musicians, home crafters, makers and writers - to record their thoughts and sounds on digital and analogue postcards.

How to get involved

Focusing on East and South West Dorset communities, isolated creatives are invited to record their thoughts, prompting questions 'what do you miss', 'what can you hear' and 'what can’t you wait to see'?

Inspired by the BBC's Radio Ballads, these statements will then be extended to local musicians to write music around the stories told. The short form letters, stories and music will be forged into audio visual records of these times, for broadcast and podcasts. A record of a unique time.

To take part, please contact So Niche Productions through their Facebook page or via email. You can also write to us at Activate, 7-9 The Little Keep, Barrack Road, Dorchester, DT1 1SQ.

Whilst most postcards will be digital, some analogue (real postcards) will be available from several local organisations.
