Millstream Theatre is a unique creative arts group that challenges stereotypes of learning disabled people and places them at the heart of the creative process. The company members each bring their own distinctive style and personality to the creation, offering audiences energetic, disciplined performances that are refreshing in their candour, sincerity and humour.
How to get involved
Millstream Theatre are looking for a digital artist to deliver some training to the group. The training will help participants create a film in Zoom (or another platform).
The application deadline has now passed but we will share further details of this project here very soon.
Millstream Theatre is a company of learning disabled actors who are passionate about developing our theatre skills to create original site-specific theatre. They are normally based at the Museum of East Dorset (formerly Priest’s House Museum) in Wimborne and form part of their inclusive provision to the community. Their members come from all over Dorset. They have performed several shows in the atmospheric rooms and gardens of the museum, exploring historical and social topics in their very own style that combines imaginative script, poetry, movement and film.
