Are you passionate about performance and would love to champion the work of a performing arts organisation? Activate are looking for a diverse range of people to join our board as charity trustees. This is an exciting time for Activate as we look ahead to Inside Out Dorset 2025 and plan another extraordinary programme that promises to bring exceptional artists from around the world to perform work that pushes the parameters of indoor and outdoor arts.
We are particularly interested in increasing representation on our Board of people who have experienced barriers or prejudice relating to their ethnicity and/or due to having a disability, long-term health condition or from a low socio-economic background. This is because we want to better reflect the people we serve in our communities.
We would encourage applicants with management experience (this could be a freelancer) and a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to think strategically and be an inclusive thinker. We are also looking for a finance non-executive with strong financial skills but we don’t expect this of everyone.
