As the public health situation surrounding Covid-19 escalates, Activate are putting measures in place to ensure the safety of staff, artists, participants and audiences across all areas of our work:

  • In order to minimise risks, the majority of the Activate staff team are working from home.
  • We are monitoring the growing situation closely and putting detailed contingency plans in place for work that is due to take place in the immediate, short term and long term future.
  • As it stands, we are assessing the risks of each piece of planned activity and making a decision on whether to modify, postpone or cancel on a case-by-case basis. Those involved are being consulted and informed of decisions as soon as possible.
  • We are following NHS and government guidelines to help protect staff, artists, participants and audiences.

We are working closely with other local arts organisations and Arts Council England South West to ensure the negative impact of Coronavirus on our work and those of our peers, friends and colleagues is as minimal as possible.

If you are an artist based in Dorset and are worried about the impact of Coronavirus on your work, please do get in touch. We can’t promise to have all the answers but we can point you to where the best advice might be available.

Get in touch via info@activateperformingarts.org.uk or 01305 260954.

We remain committed to supporting our thriving sector and will continue to monitor the situation closely. Updates will be posted on our website.
