Artists Lorna Rees and Dave Young will develop, create and perform site responsive pieces to engage audiences in the rural landscape.

Lorna Rees will create Geophonic, a performance and sound walk, encouraging audiences to listen to the geological processes of the Earth. Audiences will use custom-made, recycled plastic geophones, akin to large gramophone horns, to listen to different points on a journey guided by four performers.

Dave Young (The Shouting Mute) will collect stories from the farming and rural community, focussing on their relationship with the landscape, their views on climate change and the impact on their local environment. He will create a new poem for every person he interviews, a performance and a sound installation. This commission is also supported by Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Artful Scribe.
