Treehouse Theatre

Treehouse Theatre provide Interactive theatre and Theatre-in-Education. We believe in blurring the boundaries between actor and audience, and all performances have opportunities for the audience to get involved. Theatre-in-Education for children aged 2-15. Interactive Theatre is particularly suitable for familes with children.

Key Projects

A Play-in-a-Day (KS2 history topics)

A 1 day project for up to 150 key stage 2 children. Children participate in one of 4 morning workshops during which they will be given a part in the play and learn about their Act. In the afternoon all children come together to get dressed up, have a warm up and voice workshop, then to perform the play together - the children are either on stage or their own audience, this is not suitable for an invited audience. All children have a part in the play. Available all year round. Choose from: 'Ancient Egypt; History's Mystery' 'War and Peace in Ancient Greece' 'Children on the Home Front' (WW2) 'The Tudor Dynasty' 'Children in Victorian Times'

Cinderella - Interactive Pantomime 2011/12

Touring pantomime suitable for schools, day centres, care homes, village halls and similar venues. Age 4+. 'Cinderella' is an Interactive Pantomime' - there's around 30 parts for audience members to join us on stage, plus all the usual panto fun. Performed in the round so that everyone gets a great view, the performance features live music. Limited dates available between 5th Dec 2011 and 13th Jan 2012.
