Swindon Dance are looking for a
Dance Education & Development Coordinator (Maternity Cover) for the Dance Education & Development Team
SALARY: £16,000-19,000 (pro rata)
HOURS: 18.75hrs per week (Times and days TBC)
CONTRACT: 9 Months (PAYE)

RESPONSIBLE TO: Dance Education & Development Manager
TEAM RESPONSIBILITY: Dance Education & Development Assistant Coordinator
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Under the direction of the Dance Education & Development Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the coordination, development and effective delivery of the Participation & Learning and Building Based programmes and initiatives. The role may include opportunities to teach across Swindon Dance’s community & DanceOUT programmes primarily with children & young people.
Minimum:
- Dance Degree or diploma from vocational school / dance conservatoire or relevant experience
- Two years’ experience of teaching/choreographing in a community, youth and education context
- Experience of producing shows in a community/ children & young people context
- Two years’ experience of project management and administration
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office / spread sheets / data bases
- Knowledge and passion of the dance industry
- Experience of partnership working
Desirable:
- Knowledge and expertise in teaching more than one dance style and with a range of abilities
- Experience of delivering dance to people with learning and physical disabilities
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum and Arts Award & Artsmark programmes
- Experience of writing / presenting reports e.g evaluation
- Preparation of promotional material
- Experience of budget management
- Experience of supervising staff members
