We are looking to recruit a bank of artists who will be able to volunteer two hours of their time to help deliver a series of combined arts workshops at our Arts Education Centre in Boscombe during the School Holidays. The arts workshops run from 10 am - Noon and 2 - 4 pm daily, Monday – Friday and are nestled within a full day of wrap-around-care. Class sizes are 20 maximum and children are 6 – 14 years. We run the Arts Award, so meeting and being inspired by local artists makes up a big and crucial part of their arts journey. We would like you to inspire the children (age 6 - 14), share your work and teach them to have a go for themselves. You will be supported by the Arts Manager and an Arts Facilitator. We can provide arts materials and have specialised digital and artistic equipment such as 20 iPads, an overhead projector and large screen, PA system, artistic tools and materials which is housed in a well-equipped maker space in an accessible high street location. We are an award-winning arts charity, run purely by volunteers. In a bid to become more sustainable we are looking for alternative ways to partner with local artists. In return for your valuable time, we can offer trade benefits such as in-kind childcare for parent artists, use of our fabulous maker-space during weekends to run your own arts workshops or use of hot-desk offices upstairs in the day. There is opportunity for regular paid work from September, once we launch our new Schools Program.
