Lighthouse Poole’s Centre for the Arts where Angel Exit are associate artists. The show completed a short preview tour in Summer 2017 before playing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The job will be in a small team consisting of the two artistic directors
Qualities wanted: positive, patient and good humoured individual who loves touring and likes being part of a small company.
You will liaise with the venues sending out the tech spec for The Drive, making sure the lighting is pre-rigged as much as possible, drive the tour van, do get ins and get outs with the company, rig and focus lights, operate the sound, lighting and projection for the show, help with repairs to set / props / costume where necessary etc
Essential skills / attributes:
- Driver aged 25 plus
- Experience of operating shows
- Ability to rig and focus lights, operate laptop / lighting desk
- Physically fit
Preferred skills / attributes:
- Small scale touring experience
Own van (extra recompense will be provided if candidate has own van)
- Experience of working with projection
It is possible that this may be a job share but some dates are essential, starred below: Rehearsal dates to be arranged between 12th- 20th February. Show dates: 21st Feb , 22nd Feb, 3rd March, 6th, 7th, 8th March, 16th March, 17th March, 23rd March*, 7th April, 11th April, 13th April, 18th, 19th April. Set storage in Poole 20th April.
Some dates will include travelling to the venue the day before, and mostly travelling home / to next venue the day after.
£100 per day for rehearsals (up to a maximum of five days) £200 per show date or £500 per week depending (maximum four shows per week), single room accommodation (sometimes with local hosts), travel and £15 per day subsistence. You will be responsible for your own tax and national insurance.
