April 02 2012: Easter Intensive

Attiks Easter Intensive is Back, this year lead by Deborah Saxon.

Attik Dance are once again hosting their very successful and exciting Easter Intensive, this year to be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of April in Plymouth.

We are thrilled to announce that the entire Intensive this year is to be led by the extraordinary Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer Deb Saxon.

Deborah started her career as a dancer and choreographer in Australia before moving to Europe in 1990. In 1991 she joined Siobhan Davies Dance and has performed in over 20 works with the company touring internationally. During this period she has also worked with other UK based dance artists Jeremy James, Wendy Houstoun, Mark Baldwin and Henry Montes with whom she created two duets, UNCOUPLE and THE HUMMING SOLOS.. Her more recent work has been shown at the Victoria Miro Gallery in London as part of Siobhan Davies Dance work The Collection, The Bargehouse as part of Siobhan Davies Dance The Commisions, Hameau du Lac in France with Shelley Lasica and is currently working on a silent film project “RECULER”. She is a freelance teacher, leading classes and workshops for companies, universities and professionals throughout Europe America and Australia.

Deb will be leading all three days and will take participants through class in the morning and then creative and choreographic explorations in the afternoons.

Deb’s teaching and creative work is internationally renowned and these three days are going to be an opportunity to work with and explore movement and creativity with one of the UK’s leading dancers.

The cost of participating in this intensive is £25 for 1 day, £50 for two days or £70 for three days. A limited number of student bursaries are available. Dont forget Attik members are entitled to a 10% discount.
