How come it has taken us so long to find an excuse to work in Studland? After the delights of our Ashmore event 2012, we were looking for another perfect Dorset village to transform with circus and Studland has everything you could wish for – an amazing coastline and beaches, an iconic churchyard, a village green and the perfect village pub. What’s more, the magic chain ferry delivers you back to Poole for CirkVOST on Saturday evening.
This year, Inside Out Dorset present: Les Colporteurs work 'Le Chas Du Violon', Leufevre and Andre's 'La Serre', (FR), Square Peg's 'Rime', Acrojou 's new Without Walls commission 'Frantic' (UK) and the Jaipur Kawa Brass Band (Pakistan/ N India/UK) in this beautiful location.

As this is an outdoor event we recommend you bring clothing for all weathers, wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip. Some of the footpaths are situated in woodland, therefore trousers are advised to protect legs from nettles and long grasses. Food and drink will be available at the main Front of House point in The Bankes Arms garden, as well as the Manor Farm Tea Rooms, but we advise you to bring bottled water, sun-cream and snacks.
As Studland is not accessible via train, but is served by the No. 50 bus – please check www.morebus.co.uk. You can also travel to the site by bicycle, but note the terrain is hilly and takes in narrow country roads. Studland is 20 mins cycle from the Sandbanks Chain Ferry, and for the more adventurous cyclists 25 mins from Swanage, also on Purbeck. The Sandbanks Chain Ferry charges £1 each way to take a passenger plus a bicycle on board. We strongly recommend you do not travel by car to Studland on the Chain Ferry from Snadbanks as this is busy on weekend. We recommend you use our Shuttle Bus Service or take the A351 to Corfe Castle, then take the B3351 to Studland and thereafter follow signs for Inside Out Dorset car parks. On arrival into Studland please follow signs for the free Inside Out Dorset festival Car Park and Blue Badge Car Park.
