The Shed, Wickham Theatre, Cantocks CloseInbetween Time is a producer. We follow where the most innovative, contemporary artists lead us. We are unencumbered by art form discipline, location or venue. We sometimes lead artists and audiences to do things they haven’t yet imagined. What we do is often called live art, because there is a certain openness to our work that demands an interaction or response. It is almost always live. But we are open to where you might take us...
Since the first IBT Festival in 2001, we have made all kinds of weird, wired and wonderful events and interventions happen in the UK and beyond.
Inbetween Time Festival of Live Art and Intrigue: 1 - 5 December 2010 (exhibition and related programme runs until 6 February 2011)
IBT 10 is an adventurous, breakneck festival of performative intrigue taking over the streets, sites and arts spaces of Bristol. Live, dance, digital, music, architectural and sculptural works by 130 artists from as far a field as Mexico, Australia, Austria, Germany, Serbia, Belgium, US and all over the UK.
A man covers white walls with kisses. A woman weaves strange creatures into her hair. Sound infiltrates the basement of an iconic building, and a fragile light blinks across the city. A stage fills with red paint and a woman punches herself with steak. A man is gently covered in gold leaf as two performers create a human wave machine.
Inbetween Time is one of the UK’s most respected international festivals. Playful at its heart it revels in all things weird and wonderful. Please visit www.inbetweentime.co.uk to see the full programme.
